I love grilled food and it always reminds me so much of summer! We just got a charcoal grill last year and we’ve put it to good use. Since there are only two of us, we try to plan ahead to make extra veggies or chicken to have for another day to not feel like we’re wasting the coals.

Grilled octopus is a popular dish here and I’d love to try to make it sometime! We usually stick to chicken, steak, fish, and an assortment of vegetables, though. Oh, and grilled pineapple- one of my favorites!

A couple of years ago our gas grilled died, so my husband turned it into a charcoal grill. Ha! We haven't grilled as much this summer since it's been so rainy, but we love a good burger and veggies when we can. He did just smoke a few steaks and whole potatoes in the smoker last week, though. Everything is so much better on a grill, in my opinion! Although, we haven't had much luck with corn. It's never turned out very well for us.

Great post! I LOVE GRILLING and GRILLED FOOD!!! I grew up with my dad having a gas grill. Mom and I got it for him for Father's Day when I was 8 and had it installed into the gas line underground. Dad has taken such great care of it and replaced the innards a number of times over the years that it's still going, many years later. We also had one of those big round weber charcoal grills and most often at friends or family, that was the type of grill that was used.

I remember having burgers at your house and your grandparent's house in the summers and the smell of charcoal wafting in the summer air while we ran around eating popsicles! Ah...to be 10 again!

Now that I'm an adult and married and we have a house - my husband is the grill master. We have had a few grills over the years - starting with lower end and eventually moving on to the pro style grills. We now have a Primo ceramic wood-fired grill/smoker - and you use lump wood charcoal in it - LOVE the way that tastes. All grilled things taste fantastic grilled in that! One of my favorite things is cedar planked salmon with that wood fired flavor! We also have a Blackstone large griddle. That's for smash burgers, hibachi and BIG breakfasts for a crowd! It's cast iron, so it's seasoned and brings a different flavor to the table.

In the Fall we like to sit out with the neighbors around our firepit and I've learned to "grill" some foods in that by packaging them with seasonings and tinfoil and placing them in the coals, or certain veggies just placing directly in the coals. You have not lived until you've cooked a sugar pumpkin in coals, broken it open straight from the fire, added goat cheese, salt and pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and eaten right then. Amazing!!! I highly recommend this book to learn more about that way of cooking - Mallmann on Fire: 100 Inspired Recipes to Grill Anytime, Anywhere

by Francis Mallmann and Peter Kaminsky.

Love the smell of grilling! I tend to do more of it in our family…about once every other week.

Gas but want to get one of those grills with both because I miss the charcoal grilling from childhood. Want to make the BBQ pork chops or pork ribs my Uncle makes so perfectly!

Usually my menu is simple hamburgers, hot dogs, Metts, Brats or Smoked Sausages. Have started grilling corn, zucchini and onions. Shish kabobs are fun!

Once a year I try to do a cedar plank salmon😋
