I love places that rich histories and stories that we can look back on, like this restaurant. So glad you got to revisit it and add another layer!

Those bonbons look like little pieces of art! So gorgeous.

And my goodness, the one line about hesitating over what to write regarding your mom... such a beautiful reminder that grief is present in the every day, no matter how long or short it's been. xo

Ha! Thanks for the shout-out, and the pic! I do love our C&K (Captain & Krewe or Cheryl & Kim?? lol) times. Cold crisp wine and baked oysters - so yummy! It screams vacation to me!! I could go for some now...and I'm totes jealous of the sitting outside to eat in Feb!

Didn't we buy some good scallops from there to make our scallop credo on one of my Naples visits? And - Norman Love... I COMPLETELY ADORE! Mike bought these beautifully painted heart chocolates from a kiosk at our mall about 10 years ago for Valentine's Day to surprise me. They were the most magical chocolates I'd ever eaten - delicious and stunningly beautiful! I looked up the information about them so that we could have them again - and they were Norman Love! That year he was on Food Network for a chocolate competition they were showing and I've followed him ever since, and Mike sends me those chocolates for holidays and random surprises now! I last had them at Christmas. The last time I went there with you we ate gelato, got some chocolates to go, and they had GF baked brownies, so I got one to savor for the few days I was there - which was an amazing treat! I should get an advertising fee, or at least be a VIP (haha) because I tell anyone who will listen about NL chocolates, and have sent them to many friends as gifts.
